From October 31 to November 4, 2011, the 5th World Congress on Software Quality (5WCSQ) opened in Shanghai with the slogan of ‘United under One Banner: Best of Best Quality’. Huyou Fang, Yang Kai, Li Qiang, and Qian Yi attended its opening ceremony and software quality services & tools exhibition on behalf of Beyondsoft.

The 5WCSQ was organized by the Shanghai Municipal People's Government, the Shanghai Municipal Commission of Economy and Informatization, and the Science and Technology Commission of Shanghai Municipality, and undertaken by the Shanghai Software Industry Association. Professor Shao Zhiqing, Deputy Director of the Shanghai Municipal Commission of Economy and Informatization, chaired the congress. Professor Ju Dehua of the Shanghai Informatization Expert Committee, Professor Yoshinori Iizuka of University of Tokyo, Director Zhu Zongyao of the Division of Software and Information Service Sector of the Shanghai Municipal Commission of Economy and Informatization, and Professor Yang Genxing, Secretary General of the Shanghai Software Industry Association served as the vice-chairpersons of the Executive Committee of Congress.

The World Congress on Software Quality is the top-ranking software quality congress in the world. It was jointly sponsored by the American Society for Quality (ASQ), the European Organization for Quality (EOQ) and the Union of Japanese Scientists and Engineers (JUSE). Every session alternates in different continents. The first World Congress on Software Quality (1WCSQ) was held in San Francisco, USA in 1995, 2WCSQ in Yokohama, Japan in 2000, 3WCSQ in Munich, Germany in 2005, and 4WCSQ in Bethesda Maryland, USA in 2008. All the past sessions have successfully aroused strong repercussions in the international software industry.
